Laugh for the Next Eight Plus Years

Doing research for my client Susan Luzader (Please click here to sign up for her blog and memes. She’s very funny.) I unearthed this 2019 essay from NPR about 100 funny books. Not 100 funny NEW books, because mostly what gets flogged in the U.S. is new, new, new—and they could not all be funny. These are funny books regardless of age.

It’s a great list. If we start ordering from the library this week, and we read one book a month, we will complete the list in eight and a half years. And we’ll all be laughing and telling our friends about our witty reads. This assignment is in addition to your normal reading pace of one, two, three, or more books a month. Because when you latch onto a good, funny book, you don’t put it down until, sadly, it’s over.
