President, Integrated Learning Solutions, Inc. - a consulting company specializing in eLearning and mobile learning for business and education. Consult worldwide with suppliers, users and delivery channels on migration and implementation issues.       

May ’97 to June ‘99       

Vice President, COO, PBS The Business Channel - a for-profit, limited liability company owned by the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) and The Williams Companies.  This was a start up operation.  We began hiring in June ’97 and reached 30 employees. The Business Channel delivered via private satellite and the Web 1200 hours annually of the highest quality distance learning resources to business, universities, government and non-profit organizations.    

Responsibilities included top level management of all aspects of the operation including program development, production, marketing, sales, broadcast operations, customer service, Web development,   executive education and international.   

In 25 months, PBS The Business Channel grew from virtually no customers to nearly 200 members and hundreds of non-member customers.  We executive-produced over 100 hours of live and taped content per year.  In 1999, we offered our first Web-based courses and planned geometric expansion in that area streaming video – especially in executive education.       

In July 1999, National Technological University Corporation (NTUC) purchased PBS The Business Channel.  The position of COO was eliminated.  I worked for NTUC 50% of my time on the transition team for the following six months.       

1986 – May ‘97     

General Manager of Video Arts, Inc. - (the John Cleese training company) worldwide, the largest producer and distributor of “soft skills” business training videos and CD-ROMs.  Opened the company’s US operations in ’86ith three employees and grew it to be one of the largest resources in the US market, employing 35.  Responsibilities included management of the sales, distribution, marketing and financial areas of the operation.  Led the organization into digital technology and products.  Board member.   

Frequent speaker at the annual ASTD Conference, the Lakewood Training Conference and many other training and development-oriented conferences.  In addition to management and sales responsibilities, consulted in sales, sales management, general management and customer service with client organizations.
